Michael Rix’s practice is focused in the area of insurance defense litigation, specializing in the defense of catastrophic injury, products liability, premises liability, property damage and wrongful death cases from inception to resolution at trial or settlement. Mike has tried cases in various courts throughout the State of California. Mike has additional experience working in the area of insurance bad faith defense and issuing insurance coverage opinions to major national insurance companies. Mike began his legal career practicing civil defense at another major defense firm before joining Friedenthal, Heffernan and Brown. In law school, Mike interned at the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office where he assisted in the handling of major felony and misdemeanor cases.
